Blackpill BS

Whilst I largely don't believe in the Blackpill idea, I also don't believe in several arguemnts against it.
You may wonder, what the hell is a blackpill anyway?
Funny internet pills
The "Pills" are a reference to the matrix, where the main character makes a choice: take the blue pill and become convniced that the occurances of the film were some sort of dream, or take the red pill and awaken outside of the simulation, in the real world, memories intact.
In the film it appears to be a comment on people distracting themselves from terrible worklives, instead of facing them - with humans in the real world being put into a simulation so they don't notice the fact the heat is literally being sucked out of their bodies. It sounds a bit like people getting off on a friday and washing the work week down with several pints - an all too common behaviour in the UK. Obviously it's exaggerated in the film.
Whilst it has been used to comment on the econonmy, jobs and how we interact with them - on the internet, it's not often used for such. It is instead usually used to refer to the male experience, and that's what I'm talking about here.
In this context, the red pill is the idea that men are not valued for who they are - ugly men are likely to be completely alone, and poor men are likely to be single. Without a good appearance, body, or income, you're unlikely to live the classic "American dream" without significant work. Even then, no one really cares about you on an emotional level.
The blackpill takes this even further and says that any amount of hope will make no difference - your success as a man depends 100% on the circumstances surrounding your birth, if you happened to be born attractive, if you happened to be born in a good area, etc. The majority of these people have straight up given up.
Where the truth ends
You may be thinking that there's some truth to these pills, and I agree.
